RAVEN from Teen Titans

This shoot was initiated for the Cosplay for a Cause Calendar with ,  I'm one of the photographers responsible for one of the shoots and mine was Raven with Monika.  First off, tracking down a REAL raven or crow was some major pain in the butt! Because it's such niche market that very few people do it in the states (Not to mention a pure breed is illegal in Georgia)  Long story short, after countless hours of tracking down these owners, I found one just close enough by the boarder of Alabama and Georgia.  The guy owns like a ranch with some interesting animals (see my fb for more stories)   

As for the setting, we had a crew of people and parked at the bottom of the hills, then got our equipments and they took us in like golf carts and ventured into the forests.  It's safe to say coyotes and other big cats roam around this area at night so it was a good thing we got a crew with daylight.  So the SKULLS you see on the ground? Yes they're REAL and from animal carcasses used to feed the crow! (How badass is that??)   I have done 0% of photoshopping anything into it and everything is 100% real in this shot (and other upcoming shots)  As for the Houdini, he's an african pied crow and he's about 13 years old with major training under his belt.  So the trainer just had to leave him on Monika's arm with a command and he was pretty still for the most part.
