Hey all,

Didn't occur to me it has been almost year since my last journal update until I saw the date of my late journal; then again, I don't write much journals anyway (I compensate by uploading more work haha)

So a recap of what I've been up to this year:  I had to take some time off of photography near the beginning of the year to focus on my design career, then when it became stable I started shooting again.  

But when I started shooting again, something happened.  Maybe it was the few months' time off from shooting, but I got a new perspective and focus.  I've decided to be a lot more picky and want to take it to the next level;  instead of shooting anything possible, I aim to shoot less and raise the quality of my shoot by spending more time to prepare it.  I've started involving more people in my shoots to assist behind the scenes, started scouting gorgeous but appropriate locations, and made sure the people I shoot with are just as passionate about it as I am.

The result?  I do have to say, I can definitely see a difference compared to last year's work.  I also started noticing a small shift in my style; it isn't bad or anything, but it's interesting to see the direction I'm heading, and I'm excited to say that I still got plenty of 'unannounced' shoots lined up.  But you'll have to look forward to it )
